Household Design Object Care Instructions

Concrete design objects are beautiful, durable pieces, but they need proper care to maintain their appearance and structure. Here’s a simple guide to help you keep your concrete sculpture looking its best:

1. Dust Regularly
• Use a soft, dry cloth or a microfiber duster to remove dust. Avoid feather dusters, as they can leave fine scratches on the surface.
• For intricate or textured areas, a soft-bristle brush can help dislodge dust from crevices.

2. Clean Gently with Water and Mild Soap
• Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water.
• Dampen a soft cloth in the soapy water and gently wipe the surface.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners or sponges, as they can erode the surface and dull the finish.
• Rinse with a clean, damp cloth to remove soap residue, and dry with a towel to avoid water spots.

3. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
• Do not use acidic or harsh chemical cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia, vinegar) on concrete, as they can damage the material.
• Likewise, avoid oils or polish treatments unless designed specifically for concrete, as some can stain or discolor it.

4. Protect from Moisture
• Concrete is porous and can absorb liquids, leading to stains over time.

5. Minimize Sun Exposure
• Extended exposure to sunlight can cause concrete to fade or discolor over time.
• Keep your sculpture in a shaded or indoor location to preserve its color and finish.
